Multicultural Research and Practice
The Multicultural Research and Resource Center collaborates with academic and support units to provide applied research on topics related to campus speakers who address issues affecting multiculturalism, and conduct in-class workshops related to building community and handling controversial issues.
Mosaic is an annual collaborative publication of original research on multicultural education, training and learning. Mosaic refers to a medley or a mixture; a montage. The title was the idea of Graduate Assistant, Victoria Watson and it represents the diversity evident in multicultural research. The publication is designed to inspire scholarship relative to the various collaborations that the MRRC fosters and to explore the themes presented in university life sponsored and co-sponsored programming within the George Mason University academy through original and applied research. All research published in Mosaic will be applicable in the broader scheme of multicultural education.
